MARKETS MOVE. INVESTOR BEHAVIOUR MATTERS TOO.

Market volatility is part of investing. The way investors respond to it can also influence long-term outcomes.

Common behavioural mistakes may include chasing recent performance, reacting emotionally to short-term declines, switching investments too frequently, or abandoning a long-term plan during uncertain markets.

A more structured approach focuses on:
✔️ Discipline
✔️ Patience
✔️ Goal-based financial planning
✔️ Diversification
✔️ Periodic portfolio reviews

Rather than trying to predict every market move, focus on building an investment strategy that aligns with your goals, time horizon and risk profile.

₹50 LAKH TODAY MAY NOT HAVE THE SAME PURCHASING POWER 15 YEARS FROM NOW.

Inflation gradually changes what money can buy over time.

For example, assuming an average inflation rate of 6% per year, an amount of approximately ₹1.2 crore after 15 years may be required to match the purchasing power of ₹50 lakh today.*

That’s why long-term financial planning is not only about building a corpus, it is also about estimating the future cost of important goals, such as retirement, education, or other long-term expenses.

Factoring inflation into financial planning can help create more realistic goal estimates and investment decisions.

Why Equity? Why Now?

If you're wondering whether equity still deserves a place in your portfolio, don't just look at the index.

Look at the fundamentals behind the market.

🔹 17.7% - Bank credit growth
🔹 22% - Revenue growth of a broad sample of listed companies
🔹 34% - Approx. Midcap 150 EPS growth
🔹 40% - Approx. Smallcap 250 EPS growth
🔹 $2.1 billion - FII buying in Indian equities in July

These numbers point towards a bigger story:

India's economic activity remains strong.
Corporate earnings are improving.
Midcaps and smallcaps are participating.
And institutional investors are showing renewed interest.

But remember, equity investing is not about predicting what the market will do tomorrow.

It's about participating in India's long-term growth with the right:

✅ Asset allocation
✅ Investment horizon
✅ Risk management
✅ Valuation discipline

Don't invest because the market may go up.
Invest because equity has a role to play in your long-term financial goals.

₹20 lakh in the bank. ₹20 lakh home loan. What would YOU do? 👀

Repay the loan and you get a certain saving on interest.
Invest the money and you get the possibility of higher long-term returns, but with market risk.

So the decision isn’t as simple as “loan first” or “invest first.”

Your answer depends on:

✅ How expensive your loan is
✅ Whether your emergency fund is ready
✅ Your investment horizon
✅ Your ability to handle market volatility
✅ Whether a part-prepayment + part-investment strategy works better

Sometimes, ₹10 lakh toward the loan and ₹10 lakh toward investments may create a better balance between lower debt and future wealth creation.

The goal isn’t to pick the most exciting option.
It’s to find the best use of every rupee you’ve worked hard to earn.

Calculate first. Decide second. Emotions last.

A Simple SIP Framework for a ₹2 Crore Long-Term Goal 💰

A meaningful corpus is rarely created overnight. It is usually built through disciplined investing, regular reviews, and enough time for compounding to work.

For someone starting early, the process begins with three questions:

👉 What is the financial goal?
👉 How much time is available?
👉 What monthly investment is realistically sustainable?

A ₹2 crore target may look large today, but a long investment horizon and consistent SIPs can make the journey more manageable. The actual amount required will depend on the assumed return, investment period, inflation, and changes made along the way.

Starting with a smaller amount is not the problem. Delaying the decision for years can make the required monthly contribution significantly higher.

SIP or lump sum? The wrong answer is choosing without a plan. 📊

SIP may work better when markets are volatile because your investment gets spread across different market levels. Lump sum may benefit more when money stays invested through a strong, long-term market cycle.

The right choice depends on:

✅ How much money is available today
✅ Your investment horizon
✅ Your financial goal
✅ Your ability to handle market fluctuations
✅ Whether investing gradually offers greater comfort

Sometimes, combining both approaches or deploying a large amount in phases may provide better discipline than trying to predict the perfect market entry.

Don’t ask, “Which option gives higher returns?”
Ask, “Which option fits my situation better?”

Speak with Nostra Wealth to structure your investment approach around your goals and time horizon.
