🙋🏻♀️We know that women’s health has not received the attention it deserves. ⬆️But with the rise of digital health, the investment in Femtech initiatives have increased .
📈In 2019 it was estimated that €180bn is being spent on femtech products each year.
🩺Areas of interest - infertility, reproduction, menstruation, sexual health as well as detecting and treating chronic diseases or other medical conditions.
📍Why is focus on femtech increasing ?
Because more women are opting for tech roles that were traditionally held by men. As this representation grows, awareness of health issues, which significantly affect women, is increased.
👩⚕️👩⚕️The Women of Wearables organization focusing on creating a tight-knit community for supporting female entrepreneurship in every area, compiled a list about the top 100 women in “femtech” and health tech, recognizing the hard work of women entrepreneurs in the field.
🇮🇳 India has a unique patient demographic where the women in the urban areas have readily adopted digital healthcare, because they have easy access to it .
🎯 The goal now should be to find ways to get this technology to the rural areas, and accessible to all socio economic groups .
