As a not-for-profit organisation, we strive to serve our members across our common bond of Portlaoise, Abbeyleix, Stradbally, Athy and surrounding areas. We offer a full suite of financial services to our members, including mortgages, current accounts, low-cost loans and more. 🏡 It was great to get out and about with Laois County Council at their local Energy Clinics in housing estates around Portlaoise last week, including Kilminchy, Marian Avenue, Woodgrove, The Hermitage and Fairgreen.

The clinics provided residents with free, independent and tailored advice on making their homes more energy efficient, reducing energy bills and cutting carbon emissions. 🌍

As part of the Portlaoise Low Carbon Town Project, we were also there to chat to residents about our Green Energy Loans, helping make home energy improvements more affordable. 💚

Have a pair of spectacles sitting in a drawer that you no longer use? We’re collecting unwanted and old glasses at all People First Credit Union branches in support of Lions Club Recycle for Sight.

Through the programme, Lions Clubs collect and recycle used spectacles, which are sorted, graded and distributed to communities around the world where access to glasses is limited.

For someone who struggles to see clearly, a pair of donated glasses can mean better education, greater independence and more opportunities to work and thrive. 🌍❤️

So, before you clear out that drawer, give your old glasses a new purpose.
