Who is driving the growing trend of plant-based diets? The Flexitarian, the Vegetarian or the Vegan? In a recent article from the Food Institute, 89% of plant-based users do not consider themselves Vegan or Vegetarian.

Industry observers expect the plant-based food category to become a larger part of consumer diets in the years to come.

Hi everyone! As a food safety and business specialist, businesses are asking me what precautions should they take with Covid19. Top tips are:

1. Run refresher handwashing session
2. Wash your hands after using the bathroom, eating food, handling money, after smoking, touching your face, sneezing or coughing.
If you or your employees are coughing or sneezing, think about moving them to less populated area in the factory, follow up with them, do you need to send them home? No direct food contact.
3. Avoid unnecessary contact with surfaces or materials.
4. Stagger lunch breaks, move tables to encourage space between people.
5. Clean all surfaces with disinfectant regularly, especially metal, where virus survival rate is thought to be up to 8 hours.
6. Place bottles of hand sanitiser around the workplace. Actively encourage on entrance and exit of canteen facilities.

Follow good hygiene practices, keep your employees and your business safe.
