Are You Making the Most of Night Rate Electricity?

If you have a smart meter, you could be paying significantly less, just by shifting when you use electricity in your home.

Run these at the night rate to save:
• Dishwasher & washing machine
• Immersion heater
• EV charging
• Heat pump for a hot water boost

One thing to keep in mind is night rate works best if you can shift roughly 30% of your electricity use to off-peak hours, so identify what your biggest energy users are and try the switch to night rate when running them.
The more electric your home is, the more you save. A Greenify loan through your local credit union can help you get there.

Call 046 90 21395, email [email protected], or visit https://creditunionplus.ie/greenify-loan/ to see how Greenify can help you make savings on your home energy.

Loans are subject to approval. Terms and conditions apply. If you do not meet the repayments on your loan, your account will go into arrears. This may affect your credit rating which may limit your ability to access credit in the future.

SEAI's new report published on May 19th highlighted that electrification is the future of Ireland's heating systems.

Currently, we are roughly 90% reliant on fossil fuels for home heating. SEAI's findings identified that electricity and ambient heat are projected to supply up to 72% of final heat demand by 2055.
Heat pumps are central to that future and with SEAI grants available, there's never been a better time to make the switch. A Greenify loan can bridge the gap between your grant and the full cost of your heat system upgrade.

If you are considering upgrading to a heat pump system, contact us today by phone 046 90 21395 or email [email protected] to find out more about the loan process.

With the arrival of warm weather after a wet May, Agriland is urging farmers to prioritise fly control on their herds this week to keep animals healthy.
Flies thrive in warm conditions, especially following heavy rain.

As temperatures rise, flies and insects will multiply and become hard to control and can cause infections in your herd such as summer mastitis.

In terms of prevention, Agriland recommends the use of teat sealers as one effective method.

For more information on how to treat or prevent summer mastitis, check out Agriland's article on 'Fly control as warm front rolls in'.

If you have identified other areas on the farm that need investment to prioritise herd health, contact us today to discuss Cultivate's farmer friendly finance options.

Call 046 90 21395 or click the link in our Bio to start your application today.
