A lovely overnight stay in Kenmare. It’s where we got married so it was nice to visit again.
I always love seeing people’s recommendations, so i’m going to share ours here.
Stay: The Park Kenmare Park Hotel Kenmare
This is the most gorgeous hotel right in the centre of Kenmare, but it feels like you are in the countryside. It’s so quiet and calm. The terrace area for a pre dinner drink was beautiful.
There also is a new spa which is stunning. They are apparently opening new spa bedrooms too which look gorgeous.
Lunch: The Boathouse at Dromquinna Dromquinna Manor
Food was 10/10 and the setting is perfect. Highly recommend the potted crab and the prawn scampi.
Dinner: Mulcahys Mulcahy’s Restaurant and Bar
This is right in the centre of town and has a lovely dark, moody vibe which I love for dinner. We are still thinking about the beef wellington.
Coffee/Sandwich: Blasta Blasta Kenmare by Martin Hallissey
This was so good. We got a sandwich to share and instantly regretted not getting one each.
We went home via Molls gap which is such a nice scenic drive. Definitely worth going too or from Kenmare this way. It’s part of the experience ⛰️
