Losing count of how many school talks I’ve done in the month of September is a great problem to have ❤️🧠 Massive thank you to Coláiste Mhuire Askeaton in Askeaton, County Limerick for making mental health awareness a priority for their student’s. As I always say, I get to give the talks that I never had but badly needed in the hopes that even 1 person in the room relates to my story and struggles. Normalising the conversation around mental health is more important than ever.

This summer we released a limited edition jersey with Fingal Ravens for their centenary year. I see these jerseys everywhere. Around the town, in the gym, on social media and just randomly sprinkled throughout my weekly routine. It’s fantastic. A jersey with such deep meaning and connection to a fantastic club but also representing the mental health message. These jerseys are raising awareness and sparking conversation around mental health everywhere they are worn, and that makes me incredibly proud and incredibly happy. The conversations that are being sparked through the 3 simple letters are the conversations I never had but badly needed. To make this even better, we were able to give back to youth mental health services because of the success we had with it. Mental health conversation throughout sports clubs, communities, schools, family homes and friend groups is so important, so getting to help support an organisation locally providing support for young adults is brilliant.

€600 donated to JigsawYMH Swords on behalf of HUH Clothing & Fingal Ravens ❤️🧠

Thank you Fingal Ravens for collaborating with us & thank you JigsawYMH for the work that you do.

Today’s talks brought me to Mountrath Community School in County Laois to speak to the 3rd year and 6th year groups back to back! With every school, every group and every talk I share the mental health message with intention. I tell my story hoping that even 1 student in the room relates to it and feels less isolated, alone, ashamed or confused as to why they might be feeling a certain way with their mental health. These talks are the ones I badly needed as a teenager but never had which ultimately led me to creation of HUH Clothing a brand sparking casual conversation around the topic of mental health. They’re informal, casual, in some ways humourous, educational and most importantly relatable. I like to communicate the mental health message and my story in a way people listening feel at ease. I’m not a professional in this field, I didn’t study it in college nor will I ever give anyone advice. BUT.. I’ll always be the listening ear, willing to tell my story to make others feel less alone and advocate for mental health awareness as I’ve become the person my younger self needed.

Mental health is health! Thanks to everyone at Mountrath Community School for having me 🧠🎙️

9am on a Monday morning and we have kickstarted the Blackrock Educate Together Secondary School wellness week with a HUH talk 🧠❤️ What a great way to start the day speaking all things health, wellness, HUH and mental health. Giving the talks that I never had but badly needed will always be of importance to me. Normalising our struggles, discussing therapy, highlighting the importance of self care, sleep, exercise, nutrition and social connection whilst tying it all in to a mental health checklists that the students can copy and paste into their own lives the minute they leave the classroom. Remember, mental health is health 🧠❤️

Massive thank you to Gary and all at Blackrock ETSS for making mental health a priority and inviting me in to speak with everyone today.
