STRT Invest is Hungary’s most active pre-seed stage, industry-agnostic venture capital firm and incubator, with a portfolio of 100+ companies, primarily from Central and Eastern Europe. Founded by exited startup entrepreneurs, we take an angel-style approach to investing: making small, impactful investments while actively supporting founders through hands-on guidance, classroom and online education, and personalized mentoring.

Now we are looking for a proactive and intellectually curious individual with a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills. While prior experience in finance or venture capital is a plus, we value a genuine interest in technology, startups, and a willingness to learn.

What will be your role?

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our investment team across various functions. Your responsibilities will include:

▪️ Investment Sourcing: Actively researching and identifying promising investment opportunities within our target regions.

▪️ Industry Analysis: Conducting in-depth market and industry research to prepare comprehensive analyses and identify key trends.

▪️ Process Development: Contributing to the development and refinement of our internal investment and portfolio management processes.

▪️ Team Collaboration: Providing direct support to senior team members throughout the investment process, from due diligence to deal ex*****on. Assisting with strategic and operational support for our existing portfolio companies, helping them achieve their growth objectives.

This internship offers a unique chance to work alongside experienced investors, gain exposure to diverse industries, and contribute meaningfully to the success of innovative companies. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values integrity, excellence, and continuous learning.

Requirements:

▪️ Hungarian student status
▪️ Strong analytical and research skills with attention to details
▪️ Basic understanding of financial reports and legal documents
▪️ Networking and communications skills
▪️ Experience in venture capital or incubation is a big plus
▪️ Experience at a tech startup is a plus but not required
▪️ Fluency in English and Hungarian

This is a fixed-term (2 months), part-time (min 20 hours/week) role based in Budapest, Hungary, on Lövőház Street. We offer a flexible work schedule, focusing on results rather than rigid rules.

Tallinn was not only about Latitude59 for us.

In Estonia, we also had the chance to visit Lightyear, one of the exciting companies in the STRT portfolio.

Yesterday, we hosted the very first portfolio meetup in our brand-new office! 🚀

We had a great session with STRT portfolio founders and tech leaders diving into the practical sides of Vibe-Coding. From AI in large codebases to real web app case studies, the insights were top-notch—followed by great conversations.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, and special thanks to our speakers: András P. Tóth (STRT), Péter Tamás (Bobcats), András Iványi (STRT), and Balázs Sebestyén (OptiFlows).

This was just the first of many community nights in our new space!
