Better results start with smarter work…with AI.

In this episode of The Insightful Leader podcast, Professor Brian Uzzi — who taught our students “Leadership and Organizations” — joins two of his colleagues to introduce a practical roadmap built on the “3As” for AI adoption: start with 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to streamline repetitive tasks, move to 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 that broaden perspectives, and ultimately embrace 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲, where AI becomes a true collaborator in decision-making.

What does a business card mean to you?

The Business Card Series at Kellogg-HKUST EMBA redefines a business card as more than just a name, title, or company, it becomes a gateway to storytelling.

Over lunch on module weekends, a student takes the stage to share openly and candidly, the industry know‑how, unknown hard‑won lessons, and even setbacks, which often remain hidden in traditional classroom settings.

This initiates rich exchanges among students, turning what starts as a simple presentation into deeper discussions and questions that connect experiences in unexpected ways.

Our current cohort, KH29, has already hosted several of these sessions, each one opening new door of understanding. You never quite know what’s coming; it can be a quirky industry story or a bold lesson learned. After all, every business card carries a story worth telling.

Imagine having 10 international study locations and over 50 electives at your fingertips, each one giving you the opportunity to design a learning adventure that matches your career ambitions and interests. Beyond this, you’ll also have the opportunity to study alongside 450 students from the larger global cohort — expanding your network and perspectives even further.

This international reach is what makes the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA far more than a traditional classroom experience. Alongside the regular classes in Hong Kong, students expand their learning through global electives.

Take our KH28 (Class of 2026)’s recent trip to Miami as an example – during the 6-day elective, students explored today’s most relevant business themes, including “Advanced Negotiations”, “Strategic Alliances”, “Human and Machine Intelligence”, “The World Economy”, and “Fintech and Society.” The Miami experience offered fresh perspectives and insights that complemented and expanded on what they had already learned at the Hong Kong campus.

Each global study location offers something unique. Whether it is the entrepreneurial energy of certain cities or the deep market insights rooted in local industries, these electives are carefully curated to reflect the strengths of their host environments. This ensures that students are not only exposed to new subject matter but also immersed in diverse business cultures and practices.

Eco-friendly no longer means second best.

For years, “green” products carried the stigma of the “sustainability liability”, the belief that choosing eco-friendly meant sacrificing performance. But research from Kellogg Professor Alexander Chernev and colleagues shows that consumers now view sustainable options as equally effective, and often more reliable, than traditional ones.

If your brand is building eco-products, it’s time to shed outdated fears. Eco-innovation is no longer a liability. Going green proves that what’s good for the planet can also be great for business. Prof. Chernev teaches “Marketing Strategy” at the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA. His class is highly popular among students and was so well received that he was named the “Best Faculty of the Year” in 2022.

Some of the best lessons aren’t taught in lectures, they are lived in moments of play.

This is particularly true in our after-class pickleball and bowling sessions with KH29 (Class of 2027). Every rally and strike carried less weight as competition and more meaning as shared spirit. They were about the cheers after a good shot, the high‑fives following a gutter ball, and the kind of camaraderie that makes the challenges ahead feel lighter.

Learning, after all, is a full-body experience where minds, muscles, and friendships move together. That’s why we make sure our senior executives leave each weekend not only smarter, but stronger, more energized, and more bonded than ever.

So keep an eye out next time you are on the court — you might just spot us rallying next door!
