Together with Abacare Group Limited and Chubb, NVPC’s Centre for Non-Profit Leadership held a webinar on ‘Association Liability Insurance for Non-Profit Organisations’. Such an insurance is crucial to cover legal fees when claims turn into lawsuits.

Why? Claims by internal and external parties tend to happen. When they do, payouts can be high. This may expose organisations to unnecessary reputational risk.

Hence it is vital for organisations to understand how an association liability policy operates and safeguard their interests.

[Covid-19 ] Success! 🥳 2,000 FFP2 masks were sent to vulnerable nursing homes in (EHPAD) this week.

🤝 4 weeks ago, Abacare joined forces with 6 other companies based in .

🏥 Our goal: To provide 2 French Assisted Living Homes with enough materials to keep their staff sustained for over 2 months, a time long enough to hopefully offer protection until the pandemic slows to a halt.

😷 So, we raised enough funds, carefully selected the masks to purchase, then sent them to France, despite the increasingly busy air traffic.

🙏 We wanted to thank Coster Associates Law Firm, EXPATRIMO, Epermarket, FRENCH DENTIST, Siveco China, SAE Asia | International Moving, Shipping and Storage for taking part in this project.

👉 What's next? Since we still have enough funds, we are considering extending the operation: more masks for more nursing homes - we are already in talks with one of them, located in the badly hit eastern part of France.

🤔 How to deal with a global health crisis as an insurance broker?

😷 This is a question we asked ourselves at Abacare in early January when we started to face the threat of the Covid-19. This is also the question that the UFE Shanghai et sa région asked us during a short interview that our GM Shanghai Jonathan CHAPON gave them. We wanted to thank them for their time and interest Gregory Lopez Anne-France Larquemin.

[ Singapore ] 😷 What were your priorities for your when the virus started in your city?

In each of our Abacare offices, we quickly identified 2 main objectives:
👉 Ensure our employees' safety & health.
👉 Maintain our commitment to our partners and people who trust us with their insurance.

💡 That is exactly what happened to our team in : despite the number of new cases raising sharply those past few days, they successfully managed to implement new process to fulfill those 2 objectives.

[ COVID-19 ] On this hard time, our team wanted to join together to share with you a special message:

[ Social Distancing ] 😷 Along with the fast expansion of , governments started to recommend for people to practice.

🤔 But what does it mean exactly? Can you go out for a short walk in a park? Or to the store to buy fresh vegetables?

[ COVID-19 ] 😷 While the virus is spreading fast in many regions worldwide, it is important to know how to recognize it in order to better fight it or prevent it.

🤔 But how to detect the coronavirus? What are its symptoms? It might be hard for many people to distinguish between a common flu and the virus itself.

❗The Salt Lake Time recently shared an interesting infographic using information from the WHO to help people distinguish COVID-19 infection from the common cold and influenza.
