This page is a tribute to Panos Amitzoglou and the life of friendship he lived with each of us. It is a space for us to archive our memories, keep in touch with each other, and share our thoughts with each other and his family, even after his Facebook account is closed. Please feel free to add pictures and videos you have to the Page by posting or tagging, or message them to the Page and the admin
istrators will add them to our albums. We’re hoping to build a comprehensive archive of the adventurous, diverse, loving life Panos lived. We will be building the Timeline on the right-hand side of the Page to chronicle Panos’ many milestones. If you have an experience with Panos you would like to see included on the Page -- a trip you took together, a party or celebration he attended or took part in, a paper he presented or published, graduation dates, dates when you were roommates or worked together, etc -- please message the Page with the information, and the administrators will add it to the Timeline. Panos’ brother, Spiros, says the family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support they have received from Panos’ friends. The grieving process has been hard for a lot of us who are separated from each other and the Amitzoglou family geographically. Many of Panos' friends have asked what they can do to honor Panos and support his family. As a way for Panos’ friends--unable to attend his funeral in Greece or to visit the cemetery to lay flowers on his grave--to pay tribute to him, we have created a fund that will be used to help construct his final resting place. If you have a PayPal account, you can simply send your contribution to Spiros at [email protected]. If you do not have a PayPal account or would like to transfer your contribution through your bank, his account is at Piraeus Bank, IBAN code GR1501722130005213057145040.
