There needs to be a deliberate effort to discontinue quoting rates, fees, prices, scholarships, or any other pricing mechanisms in a currency other than the official currency of the country. In fact, no currency should be displayed on any goods or services apart from the Ghana Cedis. It is a fundamental aspect of human psychology to compare values to a familiar currency. Authorities should enforce a prohibition on quoting foreign currencies as pricing, rates, or fees in conjunction with another foreign currency. The local currency should be the determining factor. The relevant authorities must take this matter seriously in order to strengthen the local purchasing power.
