“How did it all start ? What made you decide to take in horses that had behaviour issues and were more than likely to be PTS ?
Which horse has been the most difficult to help change behaviour wise ? X”

Well it originally started with Roos Legacy, I lost my horse of a lifetime and I was spiralling and needed a way to channel my grief before I also lost myself. I wasn’t ready to get another horse for myself, but decided I had space, time and money to help a horse without having to emotionally think of them as Roo’s replacement. For me it helped me massively to have the mindset that Roo had to leave so that I had the time and space to be able to help save another horse. So I set out finding a horse that was going to be PTS where owners couldn’t afford training. And thats how it all started. I do things a little differently from Roo’s Legacy now in that I now take ownership of these troubled horses so I can rehab them and then find them a suitable home, but for me my reasons are still the same and it’s because of Roo that I have helped save so many horses.

The most difficult to help change and rehab, there have been a few it’s hard to pick out a singular one - but the most difficult emotionally for me would have to be Freddie, the little Connie I took on last year but couldn’t save and did have PTS, I still struggle with thinking I failed him but I know that’s not true and he’s the one horse I still believe never would have come right.

I’ve been schooling Tommy a lot lately (my crazy showjumper)… in a dressage saddle and everything 😆 I’ve had no crazy moments! Until I asked someone to video… and there it is 😂😂 just a little reminder of who he really is 😅
