🌙🐄 Tonight’s the Night – Dairy Farm Walk!
Tonight we’re heading to New Grange Farm, Seighford (ST18 9PP) for our Dairy Farm Walk, running from 18:45–21:00 — and we can’t wait.

We’re being hosted by FW Dairy Farmer of the Year 2025 finalist Dan Lovatt, who milks 1,000 spring‑calving Jersey Friesian cows on a New Zealand‑style system. It’s a brilliant chance to see the setup in action, ask questions and chat all things dairy with fellow farmers.

NFU Mutual’s latest claims data estimates that farm fires cost the UK almost £102 million in 2024.​

Farm fires pose a serious threat, endangering the lives of farmers, farm workers, and their families, while also wiping out months or even years of effort.​

Our Agents Rosie, Claire and Alex spent two brilliant sunny days chatting with customers, NFU members and plenty of familiar faces at the NFU stand.

From livestock classes and local food stalls to the absolutely scorching heat and sunshine, it was great soaking up the buzz of the show and catching up with so many of you over a cool refreshment!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a chat — we loved hearing what you’ve been up to and what’s happening across our local farming community. Already looking forward to doing it all again next year - do we think the weather will be as glorious again next year?

🚜 Pre‑Harvest Workshop – Book Your Spot!
We’re really excited to be running our first ever Pre‑Harvest Workshops on 24th June 2026, in partnership with NFU Mutual Risk Management Services.

If you’re gearing up for harvest, these sessions are packed with practical, down‑to‑earth safety advice — covering safe driving, trailer safety, machinery checks, fire safety and all the essentials to help keep you and your team safe during the busiest stretch of the year.

We’ve got two sessions at Sudbury Park Farm (DE6 5HN) — one in the morning and one in the afternoon — with 12 spaces in each.
Cost is £60, and you’ll also earn NRoSO points for attending.

🌟 YFC members: Don’t forget you can claim the cost back through the Staffs YFC Training Fund.
