⭐ NFU Mutual Agency Giving Fund - Dougie Mac ⭐
Two weeks ago, we had the privilege of visiting Dougie Mac — and it’s hard to put into words just how deeply it touched us.
We’re incredibly proud to donate £7,899 through our Agency Giving fund this year, but seeing their work first-hand made that number feel even more meaningful.
From the moment we walked through the doors at Barlaston, we felt the warmth, compassion and strength that radiates from every member of their team. We met wonderful people who pour their hearts into caring for children, teens, young adults and adults facing the toughest moments of their lives.
Dougie Mac isn’t just a hospice — it’s a lifeline.
They support families through unimaginable challenges, offering specialist care, dementia support, community nursing, 24/7 advice, Hospice at Home services, and emotional and wellbeing support that wraps around the whole family.
Their mission is simple: to make every moment matter. And they do it with kindness, dignity and love.
What moved us most is the scale of what it takes to keep this essential service going:
• 550 employees
• More than 1,000 volunteers
• A staggering £25 million needed every single year
Every smile, every hand held, every moment of comfort — all made possible by people who give everything they have to help others.
Our donation will help Dougie Mac continue this extraordinary work, and after seeing it up close, we couldn’t feel prouder or more humbled.
