A direct to vendor deal is when the buyer or sourcing agent finds a deal off market by contacting the vendor directly as opposed to going through an estate agent. Despite UK house prices holding firm, there has been a fall in the number of people buying and selling their homes. ๐Ÿ“‰๐Ÿ›’๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐Ÿ 

According to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the "number of people looking to buy a home fell for the fifth month in a row during September". Coupled with fewer people putting their homes on the market, estate agents are experiencing "a record low of just 34 homes on their books".

Due to a stock shortage, the UK is not yet seeing this reflected in house prices- which still remain high. ๐Ÿ’ท

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง In the UK, energy prices have been a hot topic in recent months. Now it has been announced that, until October 2024, energy prices will be capped at an average of ยฃ2,500 per year.

๐Ÿก This will save the typical UK household just under ยฃ1,000pcm and although a welcome move, bills will still be around double what they were in the beginning of the year.

๐Ÿ’ฐ "The average household is currently paying ยฃ1,971 in energy bills, but that figure was set to soar to ยฃ3,459 from October 1, while analysts had warned it could rise to more than ยฃ5,000 from January."
