One of the best things about BrokerSync is that our network is shaped by its members, and this week's spotlight is a perfect example.

Meet the Team
Angie Martin, Compliance Director

In a regulated industry, good compliance is not a box-ticking exercise; it is what keeps everyone protected.

Angie oversees our team of compliance officers, leads onboarding for new ARs and brokers, and continually enhances our compliance procedures and documentation.

Put simply, Angie's job is to keep BrokerSync and our ARs safe, so our advisers can focus on what they do best: looking after their clients.

Why is Aviva on the BrokerSync protection panel?

Because when our advisers recommend a provider, the claims record matters more than anything.

In 2025 alone, Aviva paid out £1.99 billion across more than 61,000 protection claims. That included 98.7% of life and terminal illness claims, 90.7% of critical illness claims and 90% of income protection claims. Simon Thomas, Sales Director

Simon's focus is simple: helping our brokers do more business.

He works on enhancing processes for brokers, driving up sales conversion across all areas of the network, and supporting our people and businesses through management and staff training.

He also leads on recruitment, bringing new advisers and ARs into the network, and you will regularly find him out on office visits, making sure our brokers get face-to-face support rather than just a phone number.

This is what our network is all about.

A huge well done to the whole team at Sturgess Mortgage Solutions, who recently visited the Llys Nini Rspca in Penllergaer to hand over a cheque for £2,250.

The money was raised through their Completion Programme, where they donate £25 to the charity for every client who completes a mortgage with them. Even better, they deliver the donation in person every quarter so they can see the difference it is making at the centre.

Great advice and giving back to the community, that is exactly the kind of business we are proud to have in the BrokerSync network! 👏🏼

Simon Walton, Operations Director

Behind a smooth-running network is someone making sure the wheels keep turning!

As Operations Director, Simon looks after our systems, processes and technology, alongside the general day-to-day running of the network. He also leads on lender and provider onboarding, helping us build the extensive panel our advisers benefit from, with some of the highest commission rates on the market.

From fast commission payments to our next-gen adviser portal, much of what makes BrokerSync the modern network bears Simon's fingerprints.

Here we go! 🚀

Since launching in January, BrokerSync has grown to over 50 advisers, 20+ Appointed Representatives, 14 team members and 6 board members, and we are only just getting started.

In that time, we have built systems designed to make life easier for our advisers:

Add in some brilliant events along the way, and it has been quite a first seven months.
