We've bagged ourselves a hole at Cheadle Golf Club - hole 8, named 'Double Trouble' has now got our name all over it.

Double Trouble is a tricky par 4, 404 yards off the white tee, 351 off the yellow and 339 off the red, with a magnetic spinney to the right, and several strategically placed bunkers along the fairway - a brilliant hole to play. We'd better get practicing ready for the Sponsors Day this summer!

A selection of our asset finance deals in December included;

A finance lease deal for a North West based haulier.

Purpose: to upgrade to a higher spec tipper by part exchanging an older, less reliable vehicle – planning ahead for the business at this quieter time of the year.

A finance lease deal for a Welsh farmer.
Total Amount: £30K
Purpose: after recently taking on more fields, this deal enabled him to purchase a Massey Ferguson tractor, a vital piece of kit for the farm and his expanding workload.

A hire purchase deal for a North West based solicitor.
Total Amount: £11K
Purpose: a hire purchase deal to enable him to buy a used Mitsubishi Outlander.

November Deals of the Month

November deals had an emphasis on refinance, which is a great option if you have vehicles or equipment that are unencumbered, or are on finance but have equity in them, as almost any asset can be refinanced and the funds raised can be used for any purpose. Our deals this month included;

A finance lease deal for a Welsh based farmer.
Total Amount: £20K
Purpose: raising money against a couple of tractors, this refinance deal will allow them to purchase some smaller, but vital, pieces of farm machinery that they need, whilst also leaving some funds in the bank.

A finance lease deal for a North West based haulage company.
Total Amount: £50K
Purpose: to enable them to purchase 2 additional tractor units which are needed at this busy time of the year.

A hire purchase deal for a North West based events company.
Total Amount: £25K
Purpose: a hire purchase deal to enable them to buy a transit van, which will allow them to take on further contracts and help futureproof the business.

October Deals of the Month

October has been our busiest month of the year so far, and our asset finance deals included;

A finance lease deal for a Midlands based construction company.
Total Amount: £120K
Purpose: We provided £120K as part of a £3.7m syndication to raise funds for an acquisition. Using a combination of asset refinance and invoice/debtor finance for the target business, the acquisition was made possible.

We were able to help by providing funding against some of the smaller, less attractive assets that were not of any interest to the larger, high street funders.

A finance lease for a Yorkshire based haulage contractor.
Total Amount: £25K
Purpose: to purchase a new concrete mixer to meet the demands of the work coming in.

A finance lease deal for a North West flooring contractor.
Total Amount: £4K
Purpose: to purchase a new floor grinder after their current one broke. We were able to turn this deal round quickly and funds were in their account within 48 hours, so it was still business as usual for them with little or no disruption to their customers!

A finance lease for a North West based engineering firm.
Total Amount: £20K
Purpose: a refinance deal on two large pieces of engineering equipment in order to help with their cashflow.
