It is with deep saddness to share this sad news of
Jimmy's passing. He was an amazing counsellor and friend to all at Cancer Connections and a huge part of the fibers of the charity
His work with younger people and every visitor he worked with was amazing.
Jimmy was loud, funny, caring but solid and always had time for everyone.
Unique in everyway but that is everything we loved about him.
Rest in peace our wonderful friend we are going to miss you so much.

James Liddle (Known as Jimmy)

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved James Liddle, known to all who loved him as Jimmy, on 8th October 2026, aged 65.
Jimmy’s life was filled with kindness, laughter and a love that touched everyone around him. We will forever treasure the precious moments we shared: the conversations, the smiles, the familiar warmth of his company, and all the little things that made him so wonderfully him. Though we miss him more than words can say, the memories we hold close will remain with us always.
We warmly invite family, friends and all who loved Jimmy to join us in remembering and celebrating a life that meant so much to so many.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday 29th October 2026 at 2.00 pm at South Shields Crematorium.
Family flowers only, please. Donations in lieu of flowers will be gratefully received in support of Cancer Connections.
Afterwards, everyone is warmly invited to join the family at Beggars Bridge to share stories, remember special moments and celebrate Jimmy’s life. We hope you’ll bring a memory, a smile, and a little of the love he gave so freely.
