With the UK tax year recently wrapping up, things in financial services tend to get a bit hectic, calenders filling up, inboxes buzzing with one last push before things reset.

Then with the new tax year there comes a fresh energy, new projects and the chance to start planning what exciting opportunities the year ahead will bring.

On a personal level, I had the absolute pleasure of being signed in as Chairman of the Knowle and Dorridge Round Table, taking over from Neil who has set the bar extremely high! Well done Neil.

Hoping to follow his footsteps and continue to help raise important funds for local communities as well as having bloody good fun doing it!

What a week it has been. Seems a lot has changed since posting last week.

This week focusses on conflict, emotions and investments.

With tensions rising in the Middle East, markets may react emotionally- but disciplined investors don't have to. Volatility is temporary; a calm, diversified, long term strategy is what compounds.
