A huge thank you to the very talented artist Paul for donating this superb Marilyn Monroe print. Thanks also to .gallery for donating the frame !
Thanks to Sarah for the highest bid of £650 and for purchasing the artwork.

We have now donated every penny of the £650 to the Rutland Foodbank, making our total donated £4,150. If you are able to donate even some shower gel or washing up liquid, it is very much needed and appreciated. You can drop items off directly to the Rutland Foodbank in Oakham or at your participating supermarket.

We will be continuing to donate money every month and try to help raise awareness of this essential charity.

Posters are selling for large sums of money, this one is very rare.

Why is this rare and what makes them more valuable ?
Posters are often copied or reprinted so to find an original 50 year old David Bowie Tour poster from 1972 is very rare.

How do we prove the rarity ?
The poster has come directly from the Mark Hayward Collection with many other originals. The reverse of this poster is advertising other bands such as Pink Floyd, Cream, Small Faces, Paul Jones etc.
The poster was glued onto a large piece of card which was very carefully removed by the expert staff at Forest Framing here in Uppingham. There are several tabs of glue which cannot be removed without causing damage, so they will be left in place.
The printing methods have changed a lot since 1972 and it makes it easier to identify as original, especially when double sided.

This is the brilliant artist Paul

I went to see Paul today and he has very kindly donated this stunning print of Marilyn Monroe. It will be available from Sat 18 June after it has been framed with a white frame.

The important stuff !
This print has totally sold out at £1,250 each. We will accept the highest bid over £500 with 100% being donated to the Rutland Foodbank. This is an absolute bargain ! Place your bids only by DM. We will contact you if your bid is successful ! Buyer must be a private buyer and non commercial & collect from our shop in Uppingham. Full payment required before 4pm on Mon 20 June.
Note: We will not sell this to any other commercial gallery.
The donation will be verified when donated in full to the Rutland Foodbank.
