When your task list seems overwhelming, take control of your day and try time-blocking. Identify specific blocks of time in your calendar and dedicate each to specific tasks. Use colour-coding if it helps. Set your boundaries too, for example, if any of these are non-negotiable, create a 'do not disturb' setting in your electronic calendar. which of these are non-negotiable? Include time for yourself - me-time is vital to keep you energised and enthusiastic!

Today we've been checking out World Poetry Day, and we are marking it with a poem from Athena's lead writer, whose latest collection "Beyond the Blue" was published a few weeks ago. Here, she remembers a childhood moment:

"Watching the Waves

They gallop towards the shore;
wild, white horses,
flared and frothing.
They toss their manes and roar
in the green,
thunder at me,
whip rainbow tails across my skin
till the salt sears under the sun
and the sea scalds
where it had cooled before.

And I grip the grains of sand,
reaching into the earth
with fingers plump
and small and soft.
Great waves of joy bubble
from my own youthful deep
to greet the racing horde
from far off east.
