Morning everyone!

Spolton Mortgages - Tom Clifton is down at Cranfest today supporting RAF Families Day at RAF Cranwell, and if you're coming along, it'd be great to see you.

The new Spolton Mortgages website is now live!

After plenty of work behind the scenes, the new Spolton Mortgages website is officially up and running.

We’ve made it easier to find the information you need, whether you’re buying your first home, moving house, remortgaging, looking at buy-to-let, or simply trying to understand what your options are.

We’ve also completely redesigned our mortgage calculators, so they’re clearer, easier to use and a much better starting point when you want to get a rough idea of what may be possible.

There’s also a growing collection of guides and useful blog content, with plenty more still to come.

Social media platforms are not always keen on posts with links, so it would help us hugely if you could search Spolton Mortgages on Google and visit the new site that way :)

The site may have a fresh new look, but the people behind it are exactly the same.

Clear advice, a friendly team, and support from the first conversation right through to completion.

We’d also love to hear what you think.

Spolton Mortgages new website!

Now the dust has settled on England’s disappointing World Cup exit, we thought we’d share something a little more positive.

Our new Spolton Mortgages website is nearly ready.

It has been redesigned to make it easier to find the mortgage help you need, whether you’re buying your first home, moving, remortgaging, investing in a buy-to-let or serving in the Armed Forces.

Clearer pages, simpler ways to get started, and plenty of familiar Spolton faces along the way.

We’re just adding the final touches now and can’t wait to show you the finished site.

It may not quite make up for Wednesday night, but at least we’ve still got something new to look forward to!

Thinking about buying your first home, but not sure where to start?

That’s completely normal, so we thought we’d break it down and help you get started.

A lot of first-time buyers don’t come to us ready to make an offer tomorrow.

They come to us right at the beginning, when they’re still trying to work out things like:

* Can I actually afford to buy?
* How much deposit do I need?
* Is my credit score good enough?
* When should I speak to someone?
* What even is an Agreement in Principle?

The good news is, you don’t need to have it all figured out before asking for advice.

A good starting point is to:

* Check your credit report
* Look at what you earn and spend each month
* Start building your deposit, even if it feels slow
* Find out how much you may be able to borrow
* Get an Agreement in Principle when the time is right
* Understand where solicitors, surveys and mortgage applications fit into the process

Buying your first home can feel like a lot when you look at everything at once.

But when it’s broken down into smaller steps, it becomes much easier to understand.

At Spolton Mortgages, we help first-time buyers understand where they are now, what they may need to work on, and what the next sensible step looks like.

You don’t need to be “ready” to buy before you speak to us.
