People think full-time travel is expensive… but for us, staying in the UK was costing more than double what we spend now 🌍✈️

Since leaving home and travelling full-time, our monthly outgoings have dropped to less than 50% of what we used to spend just existing in the UK — bills, rent, commuting, endless work stress… the usual cycle.

Now?
We work less, experience more, spend more time together, see incredible places, meet amazing people, and actually feel like we’re living instead of constantly trying to keep up.

The biggest surprise has been realising that the ‘safe’ and ‘normal’ life was actually the more expensive one — financially, mentally, and emotionally.

Proof that sometimes the life people think you ‘can’t afford’ ends up costing you far less 💭✨

Here I am, creating content in a world where perfection often feels expected — curated feeds, flawless moments, carefree adventures. But behind the camera? There are tantrums, disagreements, missed naps, snacks spilled everywhere, and at least one person on the edge of a meltdown (sometimes me 😅).

The truth is, family travel isn’t always easy. It’s messy, loud, unpredictable, and chaotic at times. But it’s also meaningful. It’s real life unfolding in new places, and somehow those imperfect moments become the memories we treasure most.

I’ll always love sharing beautiful destinations and helpful tips, but I also want to share the honest side of travelling with a family — the reality behind the highlights. Because that’s the part I think more people can actually relate to ❤️

Shall I do a teenager version of this next 😂 ??
