🍰 Celebrating National Baking Week 🧁

To mark National Baking Week, our offices have been embracing some friendly competition, with colleagues showcasing their baking talents through a fantastic range of homemade cakes, bakes and sweet treats.

Beyond the delicious results, it's been a great opportunity to bring people together!

We have been incredibly impressed by the creativity and effort on display across all three offices.

World Mental Health Day!

Mental health challenges can affect anyone, but for those living and working in rural communities, the pressures of isolation, unpredictable conditions, financial uncertainty and demanding workloads can make seeking support even more difficult.

That's why we're proud to support organisations such as RABI and The Farm Safety Foundation (Yellow Wellies), who work tirelessly to improve wellbeing, raise awareness and provide practical support for people across the farming and countryside community.

By working with these organisations and supporting local events and initiatives, we help ensure that those in our rural communities know where to turn and can access the help they need, when they need it most.

Today, let's continue the conversation and remind one another that it's okay not to be okay.

💛 Support is available, and no one has to face their challenges alone.

A fantastic day at the Hawes Tup Sale on Thursday, a great turnout and plenty of activity from start to finish. 🐑 Hawes Farmers Auction Mart

A special mention goes to Lucinda and Anna, who stayed until the very end, finishing at 12:15am to ensure every customer was looked after and every query was resolved. Their dedication truly puts a price on peace of mind, demonstrating the commitment we make to supporting our farming community when it matters most.

Well done to everyone involved in making it such a successful day.

🌟 Employee of the Month 🌟

A huge congratulations to our Employee of the Month, our fantastic Insurance Advisor Jamie Stelling!

Since joining us in July 2025, Jamie has consistently demonstrated a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

This month's recognition comes from Jamie's willingness to go above and beyond for a customer. On the Friday before the Bank Holiday weekend, Jamie stayed beyond normal working hours to make sure a customer's three policies were accepted, ensuring their cover was in place before the long weekend. 👏

🌾 What a fantastic day at the Stokesley Agricultural Show! 🌞

We were delighted to have a stand at this year's show and enjoyed meeting so many members of the local farming and rural community. It was great to chat with visitors, catch up with familiar faces, and be part of such a well-supported local event.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand. We had a brilliant day and we're already looking forward to next year!

A couple of weeks ago, Anna wowed us all with her incredible artistic talents, entering her work at Muker Show and taking home 1st and 2nd prizes. 🎨🏆

We're lucky to have such a creative and talented colleague in the office. Well done, Anna. As a reward for all your hard work and delicious creations, you've officially been nominated as our chief provider of office goodies! 😄

Today we're celebrating the fantastic food and farming sector and recognising the dedication of British farmers who work hard every day to produce high-quality food, care for our countryside and support rural communities.

FARMING FACTS:

🚜 More than 700 different types of cheese are produced in the UK.
🚜 On average, we eat 192 eggs per person, per year. That's enough to make 1,152 fairy cakes!
🚜 Farmers manage 71% of the nation's landscapes.
🚜 In 2024, farmers invested £20.9 billion to produce our food.
🚜 A field of wheat the size of a football pitch, produces enough grain to make 11,500 loaves of bread.
🚜 The UK produces 2 billion portions of frozen peas each year. and, most make it through to the factory and through the freezing process in under 2.5 hours.
