A great day at The Boiler Shop, Vegan Market in Newcastle. The Big Vegan Market
Lots of lovely people called by our stall to say hello, asking about what we do, and thanking us for our commitment to our little red friends.
There were lots of beautiful dogs and one that looked like a fox he was gorgeous and an Italian Greyhound.
We stroked so many dogs our Sab dog Pogo was not too happy when we arrived home ... 😂
We gave out lots of Howl magazines stickers and information leaflets ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ all in all a wonderful day and some of our team called by and had a chat to some of our customers.

On the 14th of January 2026 hunt supporters from the Middleton Hunt launched an extremely violent attack on two female saboteurs, resulting in one being hospitalised.

The thug, Tom Hunter a local sheep farmer, approached the vehicle of East Yorkshire Coast Hunt Sabs and began trying to rip the windscreen wiper off. When the driver exited the vehicle to document the damage he twisted her wrist, pinning her against the vehicle despite her pleas to stop. Throughout this attack Tom licked his lips, grunting and smirking throughout.

He then turned his attention to another female sab who had tried to intervene. He dragged her by the hair, pulling her to the ground and punching her in the face. This attack resulted in a broken cheekbone, split lip, facial swelling, bruising, lacerations and other injuries. Tom's daughter Kerry Todd also participated in the attack, no doubt she'd had extensive lessons in violence from her father.

Unfortunately, these attacks are not isolated, and female sabs are often subjected to violence and misogyny from hunt members/supporters. This is the truth about 'trail hunting.'

In March 2026, a 20 year old male, Henry Collins; a fox-hunter with the East Cornwall Hunt viciously rode his horse into a female hunt saboteur from Kernow Sabs, Monitors and Animal Rights Team - Cornwall before launching into an unprovoked brutal attack beating her with his whip whilst atop his horse.

There are long established links between those who abuse animals, going onto inflict violence upon women and girls.

For a 20-year old to already display such violent misogynistic behaviour speaks volumes about the culture in which these thugs are raised.

This week is volunteers' week, and we want to say a massive thank you to each and every saboteur that gives up their valuable time to save lives and expose the truth about blood sports.

The HSA is run by volunteers and has been for over 60 years. We are passionate about protecting wildlife from sadistic hunters and each and every week sabs all over the country head out into often volatile situations, being met with violence and aggression from those who are illegally hunting. But we are a determined and experienced bunch who not only work hard out in the field but also dedicate a lot of time behind the scenes to ensure the safety of our wildlife.

With just under two weeks remaining before the government consultation closes we will be releasing previously unseen footage of the most barbaric act of cruelty taken place at a hunt. It is horrendous and shocking - and will leave viewers in no doubt to the depraved barbarism of those who partake in blood sports.

In January of this year, the Joint-Master of the Cotswold Vale Farmers Hunt, Nathan Goulding, rode his horse at two female sabs from Welsh Border Hunt Sabs.

He was found guilty of assault and battery and sentenced to a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £676 in costs.

Hunting and violence go hand in hand. You only have to read the comment sections sections on our posts highlighting attacks on women by hunters, to see claims such as, "she was asking for it" and "serves her right".

Hunters are deeply disturbed individuals who enjoy seeing others suffer, whether by attacking innocent, defencless animals or by targeting female sabs. We need to end the smokescreen of "trail hunting" and bring hunting to an end for good.

Summer Snaring is Underway

This is the time of year when shooting estate gamekeepers, particularly on the grouse moors, ramp up their grim practices. Paid to eradicate undesirable species from shooting estates, ‘predator control’ is carried out to protect birds that undesirable humans will pay hundreds if not thousands of pounds to shoot. Snares are used to target areas where wildlife frequents but with them comes sickening cruelty.
