🚗 HMRC's mileage rates have increased for 2026/27!

If you use your own vehicle for business journeys, you could now claim 55p per mile for the first 10,000 business miles.

Even better, many people don't realise they may also be entitled to an additional 5p per mile passenger allowance when carrying a colleague on a business journey 👀

These small allowances can add up to significant savings over the course of a year.

Just a quick update regarding the incident at one of the buildings in our business park.

Unfortunately, there has been a major fire at the building opposite us, but we wanted to let you know that all of our JDH team are safe and our building has been unaffected.

Sharing this important update from Companies House regarding a WebFiling security issue.

A timely reminder that cybersecurity really matters — especially when sensitive company data is involved. As accountants, we’re trusted with highly confidential information, so strong systems and processes aren’t optional.

At JDH, we’re continually reviewing and strengthening our cybersecurity practices to help keep our clients’ data safe and secure.

If you’re a company director, keep an eye out for the official email (due by 19 March) and make sure it’s from the correct address before taking any action.

Safe to say… it’s a reminder none of us can afford to ignore 👀

📢 We're contacting all registered email addresses with information about an issue that affected our WebFiling service, with advice on what you should do next.

All companies should receive an email by the end of the day on Thursday 19 March.

MTD starts in April… and many self-employed people and landlords still aren’t ready.

This is a major change in how you report to HM Revenue and Customs. Digital records and quarterly updates will soon be mandatory for those affected.
