Im going to be quiet on here for the next few days - possibly into next week too (depending).

Im very much working but there are changes going on in the background and all legal info etc needs to be finalised and swapped over and whilst that is being done, I won't be posting. Fingers crossed 🤞 its a smooth transition but lots needs doing.

Im very much looking forward to the fresh start ahead....

Gooood Morning!!!!!

Understanding personal insurances can be confusing so here is some knowledge and jargon busting.

TERM - This is how long a policy will run for.

TERMINAL ILLNESS - This is when a medical professional has determined that the insured person's illness will result in death and has less than 12 months to live. This is included with a lot of life insurance policies (it is NOT critical illness)

MEDICAL UNDERWRITING - This refers to the medical questionnaire that must be completed when applying for a policy. Upon completing this, a decision of the cover offered and price of cover will be decided. Sometimes further underwriting takes place and a human underwriter will look at your application before making a decision.

DECREASING POLICY - This is a policy, generally, set up to protect a repayment mortgage. It is designed to decrease in value over the term of the policy to match your remaining mortgage value.

LEVEL TERM POLICY - This is a policy that will remain at the same value throughout the term of the policy.

WAIVER OF PREMIUM - This can be added to your policy to ensure the premiums of your policy will be paid for you should you be unable to work. - this is NOT income protection

DEFERRED PERIOD - This means the amount of time that has to pass before a claim can be made. This is mainly seen with income protection and waiver of premium.

Bank holiday so far.....

Spa Day and overnight stay with my love. The weather really did make it extra special. It felt like we were abroad for the day.
Then back home today to get in the garden and do washing and allow oliver to use his water gun on the walls and fence (anything to stop him getting me).... and then a walk to the cricket club to watch the ladies cricket match.

Its the school holidays this week so I will have Oliver with me and I do plan on making the most of the weather so I might be slow with replying but I will still be working as and when I get chance.

Hope you are all having fun and staying safe in the sun 🥰

Today is all about relaxing.......

Spa day, massage and overnight stay for me and Adam, all thanks to my lovely work team. They clubbed together and paid for a voucher for me for my birthday (back in september) .... what a day for it too 🌞🌞🌞

That’s not per day or per week. It’s not even per child.
It is per month and it covers ALL of your children. I bet your coffee or lunch time meal deal costs more than this.

There’s no limit on claims…
It covers them playing sports…
They’re covered from BIRTH until the age of 22...
No medical questions...

Can only be taken out with an adviser (like me)😊
And… it can be used as well as any other child cover you might have.

There is a similar adult version available too.

I am an adviser so I will always take a holistic approach when looking at your insurance needs, but this is a great addition to what is available to you.

This might be hard, but I need you to use your Imagination for a few minutes.

IMAGINE your life was turned upside down. Say you got diagnosed with something serious like Cancer or a major heart attack…. How would your life look??
How long does your sick pay at work last? (if you have any)
How long would your savings last?
Would you be able to return to work?
If you needed to sell the house for money – how quick could you get hold of it?

These things happen to people of all ages, from all walks of life, EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Please tell me why you are the special one that it won’t happen to?

I’m sorry to say, but people are naïve to think that the few thousands they have in their savings will last them; Or the 6 months sick pay is plenty so ‘they don’t need income protection’.
Personal insurances are something that you ‘hope’ will be a waste of money but if you needed to claim…. You would have wished you spent double.

Happy Friday!!!!!!

I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you who have commented and messaged me with congratulations for my next step....
Your support, encouragement and faith in me means more than you will ever know.
Ive even been inundated with messages from people wanting to join me already - ive not even advertised yet. At this rate, I won't need to.

Its been a little overwhelming actually. But in the best way 🥹

This week has been the busiest ive EVER been .... all thanks to you all and your recommendations.... but it has been a rollercoaster. The nerves. The excitement. The stress. The relief. The tiredness.

Unfortunately this week has seen the start of 2 major claims that need starting too. This breaks my heart and always sits heavy with me.

Anyway.... I just wanted to say THANK YOU and I appreciate you all.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and im hoping my working day will be finished soon, as im still completing my admin for the week.

I’ve done it!!!!!!

After business planning, presenting, interviewing and all of that other nerve-wracking stuff…I have officially been promoted to 'Area Sales Manager', within Supreme Financial Solutions LTD

Almost 9 years ago, I was being bullied (I hate that term, but let’s call it what it is) by a senior member of staff within education and I stood up to him. I called him out on his behaviour after trying to intimidate me – granted it wasn’t my most professional moment, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I lost my job and the thought of letting my family down devastated me. I had no idea what I was going to do. 😔
Little did I know, it was just the start of something. I gave it 3 months…

This is going to be the start of the next chapter of my career and I can’t wait to see where I can take it.

I will 100% still be advising… my clients have nothing to worry about on that front. I don’t ever plan to stop meeting my clients.

I have gone for this in order to build my business…. Covered by Karen is growing and there are going to be some fabulous changes coming, including a rebrand (watch this space) but until then I am going to be looking for some specific people to join me…

Look out for mortgage and protection adviser roles … I will post them soon, with the specifics, I just need to be certain on what I am looking for.

Sometimes my common sense really does shock me....

Got the school run to do in the absolute pouring down rain and the footwear of choice????? Brand new, white, fabric pumps 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈 what on earth is wrong with me 😂

I plan on wearing these at the weekend so need them back to white....
Im thinking a scrub with fairy liquid and then a run through the washing machine.

Any other tips??? Please help.....
