Hello September..... im ready for you!!!!
I love that September feels like a new year more than January does... anyone else?

Its been a wonderful but at times difficult summer.
I feel bad saying oliver is hard work because he isn't.... he just has so much energy and is so inquisitive, he frys my brain with a million questions, but I do know thats a good thing, its just overwhelming when youre trying to work and he asks
"Whats a gush moment?" Because a sanitary product advert has come on 🙈😂 along with the many others.

Lots of walks
A bit of family time
Football
A new adviser
Another on the way (watch this space 👀)
Many appointments done
Holiday clubs
Had cuddles with my friends new baby
Office deep cleaned and refreshed

But.... my to do list is growing as busy season starts and I am looking forward to getting on top of work, as i am aware I have lagged a bit, and getting my routine back.

Ill post my September availability soon.

Im talking to people so much about this and im still finding that the majority of people who have this, don't actually know how it works.

It is so important that you know and understand how these policies work. Even more so at claim stage.

REAL CLIENT STORY
Back in November, a client of mine came to me to look at some cover for in case he died or if something stopped him from working.

Now unfortunately, this client wasn’t able to have any medically underwritten cover, for a variety of reasons, so full life cover, critical illness and income protection wasn’t an option.

Luckily, I have access to a product that doesn’t require any medical underwriting and offers some level of cover. He was very sensible and agreed that covering some scenarios was better than not covering any.

Fast forward a few months and I received a phone call from his very distressed wife. In tears, she explained that he had had a bad accident at work. He works in a warehouse and simply fell off one of the trailers. No silliness, no one to blame, just an accident.

He was in a terrible state in ICU, with a fractured skull, collar bone, jaw and some ribs. She had no idea what condition he would be in when/if he woke up…and in the stress of the situation, she couldn’t remember if he was covered and if so what for. Total panic😔😢

I hate calls like this, as it is genuinely upsetting to hear my clients have had something so horrific happen to them.
But it is nice that; 1 – They feel comfortable enough to call me, and 2 – I can reassure them to say ‘Yes, he is covered, let me sort it for you'.

I’m very pleased to report that this client is looking like they will make a full recovery but he is in no rush to return to work and thanks to the 38.5k pay-out😱 , he doesn’t need to rush back. That money is going to relieve A LOT of financial stress.

So many people dismiss certain policies because they can’t get the one, they ‘think’ they need. Unfortunately, we have no idea what could happen to us, so no idea what we might NEED, but covering some scenarios is better than covering no scenarios and, in this instance, – choosing to take what cover he could get was well worthwhile.

We do have the wonderful AI to help create wonderful images and wording but many say that it’s not 'authentic'… I have to agree.

The rarest of days....

For the first time in around 7 years ive been home alone.... no kids, no husband.... nothing. PEACE.... except my own thoughts 👀🤣

Ive met with clients, done some planning, admin and heard of a very important claim being approved too ✅️

I then decided i should really use this time to relax and have a little pamper. Im not much of a girly girl so I dont really know what a 'pamper' looks like... but i had an undisturbed bath (with candles), shaved the legs, washed my hair, moisturised and put these slimey rubbery things under my eyes that will hopefully make me look 10 years younger 😂 (im not holding my breath).

And now im feeling a little weird that the house is so quiet 🙈

Time for tea and a film.... and constantly reminding myself to 'just enjoy it'
