🌱 Help Turn Surplus Into Support 🌱

FareShare’s Surplus with Purpose scheme is helping farmers and growers make a real difference—by redistributing surplus food to those who need it most.

🤝 During 2026–2027, NFU Mutual Charitable Trust is proud to be partnering with FareShare to help tackle food poverty across the UK.
This initiative offers practical support by helping farm businesses cover the additional costs of redistributing unsold produce—making it easier to donate surplus food instead of letting it go to waste.
This is great events for all ages to enjoy, and inform the public on how farming works and where their food comes from; farm to fork.

⭐ NFU Mutual Borders Agency Giving Fund ⭐

One of our chosen charity's this year was the Mark Williams Foundation. You can read how our donation help will the foundation.

Part of the funding will be used to support the investment challenge within the Foundation’s Entrepreneur Apprenticeship programme, providing aspiring young entrepreneurs with practical opportunities to develop business acumen, financial confidence and entrepreneurial skills through hands-on experience. The donation will also help strengthen the Foundation’s Father Support Initiative by funding the training of volunteers who provide practical and emotional support to fathers, helping to strengthen family relationships and improve outcomes for children and parents alike.

Nicola Williams, Founder of The Mark Williams Foundation, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the NFU Mutual Borders agency for this generous support and for recognising the importance of investing in people and families. This donation will create meaningful opportunities for young people taking part in our Entrepreneur Apprenticeship programme, while also strengthening the support we can offer to fathers and families within our community. Partnerships like this help us turn potential into progress and create lasting change for the people who need it most.”

This year, one of the charities selected for our Agency Giving Fund was The Mark Williams Foundation. It’s wonderful to see the positive impact that our donation has made.

We are incredibly proud to share that The Mark Williams Foundation has received an £8,000 donation from NFU Mutual through the Agency Giving Fund ❤️

This funding will directly support two areas that are incredibly important to us:

🧡 Supporting young people through our Entrepreneur Apprenticeship programme
🧡 Expanding support for fathers and families through our Father Support Initiative

Behind every donation is an opportunity to create real change and we are so grateful to everyone at NFU Mutual Borders who helped make this happen.
