Today we're celebrating some of our most loyal team members. From office supervisors and meeting crashers to professional treat testers and lunchtime walking companions, our four-legged friends are always on hand to brighten the day.

Whether they're keeping watch from the office, helping out while working from home, or simply reminding us to take a well-earned break, they are very much part of the NFU Mutual North Shropshire family. 💚

🐴☀️ Travelling Animals in Hot Weather? Know the Guidance and Plan Ahead.
Whether you're taking horses to a competition, moving livestock between holdings, or transporting animals for routine management, warmer weather can make journeys more challenging.
To help protect animal welfare, it's important to plan ahead and take sensible precautions:
✅ Travel during the cooler parts of the day where possible
✅ Ensure animals are properly hydrated before departure
✅ Check that trailers and livestock vehicles have adequate ventilation
✅ Avoid unnecessary delays and plan your route in advance
✅ Monitor animals regularly for signs of heat stress, such as excessive panting, lethargy or distress
Under animal welfare and transport legislation, anyone transporting animals has a legal responsibility to ensure they are fit for the journey and transported in a way that avoids unnecessary suffering.
