Shropshire County Show 🌼
We were absolutely delighted to attend this year’s Shropshire County Show ☀️ — what a fantastic day it was!
The event was full of incredible displays and amazing floats 🚜🌻, and it was truly wonderful to see the creativity, effort and community spirit on show. Everyone involved should feel so proud of what they achieved ⭐
It was also a lovely opportunity to catch up with both familiar faces and new connections 🤝💛 — days like this really remind us how special our local community is.
A highlight for us was hearing from NFU Vice-President Robyn Munt 🎤, who spoke passionately about the importance of farm safety and tackling rural crime 🚜🔒. It was an insightful and meaningful discussion, shining a light on issues that really matter to our rural communities.
Thank you to everyone who made the day so memorable — we’re already looking forward to next year! 🌟😊

Which local charity should we support in 2026?

This year, through the NFU Mutual Agency Giving Fund, we’re able to nominate one local charity to receive a £7,899 donation to support their essential work.

We’d love to hear from our community — which local charity in either Market Drayton, Wem or Oswestry do you think is making a real difference and could benefit from this support?

✅ Small, local frontline charities - this would include charities that are community hospitals, hospices, community first responders to name but a few.

✅ Supporting local people and communities - this would include charities that are, enabling food supplies ( foodbanks, community lunch clubs ) or charities providing emotional or social support to your community.

⏳ The closing date is approaching for NFU Mutual Postgrad Agri Award⏳

To support research and innovation for UK farming, the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust offers a postgrad agri bursary scheme called the Centenary Award. For selected applicants, it provides bursaries for up to 75% of course fees..

Applications for the 2026 award (for courses starting 2026/2027 academic year) close 30th June.

Market Drayton Market – Lingen Davies Charity Day 💛

Our team had a fantastic morning at Market Drayton market today – it was truly lovely to see so many familiar faces and connect with the community. The event supported a wonderful cause, the Lingen Davies Centre, and we were proud to be involved. The raffle has now been drawn, and we were delighted to contribute a hamper filled with goodies. Thank you to everyone who took part and showed their support – it made the morning even more special!🌻

Lingen Davies Cancer Support has been improving cancer care across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Mid Wales since 1979. For nearly five decades, they’ve helped local people access better treatment, equipment, and support when it’s needed most.

Now they are launching their biggest project yet, the £5 million Sunflower Appeal 🌻to build a brand-new Chemotherapy Centre at Princess Royal Hospital, Telford, opening in 2029. This will double chemotherapy capacity, bringing vital treatment closer to home for thousands of families across our region. And we could not be prouder to be part of such a worthy cause!

Even better, thanks to a £250,000 match-funding pledge from Telford & Wrekin Council, every donation is currently DOUBLED, meaning twice the impact for local cancer care!

Let’s come together, show our support, and make a lasting impact for local families facing cancer!
