Tips for fresh flowers

Reasons why we remove Fresh flower foliage below water level -
Keeps water clean longer
Stops bacteria growth
Stems absorb water better
No cloudy vase and bad smell

Tulips pieced in neck and copper coin in vase
- it is supposed to help release air bubbles
Reduce pressure in stem
Help flower stay upright
Copper has mild antibacterial properties which slows bacteria growth, can help flowers last longer

This may not work for everyone

You can also change water daily , cut stems at an angle , put flower food in to also keep flowers longer.
