🚨 HMRC to Close Online Accounts and Company Tax Return Service in 12 Months 🚨

Big changes are coming for UK businesses! 📢 From 1 April 2026, the Online Accounts and Company Tax Return service will be closing, meaning businesses will need to adjust how they file their accounts and tax returns.

📌 What’s changing?

✅ Companies have used this service to file their accounts and Company Tax Returns simultaneously with Companies House and HMRC, but this will no longer be possible in 12 months.

✅ From 1 April 2026:

Companies House: File annual accounts using third-party software, web services, or paper filing.

HMRC: You must use software to file your Company Tax Return.

🔹 If you currently use this service, start preparing now to avoid last-minute issues. More guidance will be provided soon.

🌟 Tax Year End 2024/2025: Time to Plan Ahead! 🌟

As we approach the end of the 2024/2025 tax year, it's the perfect time to start preparing for tax season! 💼💰

Whether you're an individual taxpayer, business owner, or self-employed, taking a few proactive steps now can help you minimise your tax bill and avoid last-minute stress.

Here's what to focus on before the year ends:

✅ Dividends Tax-Free Threshold: You can earn up to £500 in dividends without paying tax! Be sure to plan your dividend income accordingly.

✅ Savings Tax-Free Threshold: The savings allowance lets you earn up to £1,000 tax-free (or £500 for higher-rate taxpayers) – make sure you're utilising it!

✅ ISA Allowance: Contribute up to £20,000 into an ISA to grow your savings and investments tax-free. Don’t miss out on this opportunity!

✅ CGT Tax-Free Threshold: You can realise up to £3,000 in capital gains without paying tax – great for those selling assets.

💡 For those with incomes over £50,270 or £100,000: Consider contributing to a SIPP or making charitable donations to reduce your taxable income and potentially keep your personal allowance!

💡 Top TIP for Directors & Shareholders 💡

Before the end of the 2024/2025 tax year, consider taking a Director's Loan instead of dividends! 🚀

This can help you manage your tax liability more efficiently and avoid extra taxes on dividend income. 💸

Don’t wait until the last minute! Start planning today to set yourself up for a financially successful year ahead. 📈✨
