This recognises not just technical knowledge and prior qualifications, but also years of hands-on industry experience, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and meeting the highest ethical standards.

It's an important marker for me, and hopefully reassurance for those I work with that the support they receive is backed by proven expertise and a genuine commitment to the profession.

Ready for another productive week at ParaPlan Pro.

Last week was a particularly exciting one. We onboarded two new clients, both of whom are a great fit for how we work, and just as importantly, they share our view of what proper financial planning should look like.

• Thoughtful cashflow modelling
• Clear, well-reasoned recommendations
• A focus on outcomes, not outputs

Encouragingly, both came to us looking for more than just an extra pair of hands. They wanted someone to test their thinking, offer a second view, and add real strategic input to their planning.

One of them put it perfectly following a discussion we’d had about a particular case:

Last week I ran a coaching session for two advisers working towards CAS at their firm.

We covered all things Suitability Reports. The rules and the regs, the dos and the don’ts and how to structure the advice clearly and compliantly.

But more than that, we focused on tone and soft skills.

💬 How to speak in the client’s language
🧠 How to build understanding, not confusion
🗣️ How to deliver recommendations clearly and confidently
🤝 And how to make technical stuff feel simple and human

We had some cracking questions and even better conversations.

And yes... I was absolutely chuffed to receive this feedback! 🙌

It’s hard to believe it’s already been three months since I launched ParaPlan Pro. Time has flown, and I’ve been reflecting on what’s been a busy, challenging, and incredibly rewarding start.

I’ve been fortunate to work with eight fantastic firms so far, and completed over 100 cases. From pension transfers and new investments to complex estate planning, cashflow models, and a handful of platform and CIP reviews.

The variety has reminded me exactly why I love paraplanning: every case brings new questions and the chance to simplify complexity.

A few early reflections:

✔️ Flexibility is essential. No two firms work the same way.
✔️ Clear expectations and quick responses keep cases moving.
✔️ Quality builds trust quickly.

I’m grateful to those who trusted me from the outset, and for the conversations and feedback that have helped shape ParaPlan Pro so far.
