This week I'm taking part in Income Protection Action Week because it is something I feel really strongly about.

For some reason in the UK so many people aren't protecting their income, but how many of us rely on it for EVERYTHING?! It really makes no sense when you look at it from that point of view.

Even if your budget means you can't afford to protect all of your income, why not at least cover an amount for essential outgoings so that you can focus on your health and getting better rather than worrying how to look after your family and keep them in their home.

Another way I look at it:
If you were offered a job paying £50,000pa with no sick pay, or £49,000pa with unlimited sick pay if you were unable to do your job until retirement age, which one would you go for...? I know what I would rather....

It's not just about getting my clients the best mortgage deal, it's about giving them the opportunity for financial resilience for their future.
