AIM is a membership community dedicated to the activities industry. Owned by its Members and operated on their behalf via an elected board of outdoor adventure experts, it was formed for the sole purpose of providing cost-effective and high-quality liability cover for activity providers, individuals and organisations operating in this sector. Our offering provides cover for everyone from large-sca
le residential multi-activity centres, climbing and watersports providers to freelance instructors operating both in the UK and abroad. Thanks to our first-hand industry experience, we are also able to provide competitive cover for activities that many insurers are reluctant or unable to include. We are committed to promoting best practice in the activities industry. By sharing our knowledge and experiences we aim to enable our Members to operate more efficiently and effectively, minimising their risk, reducing their claims and saving them valuable money in the process. AIM coverage is tailored to our Members’ specific needs and offers a long-term, alternative to conventional insurance that provides value, security and certainty, no matter how volatile the economy. We impose rigorous risk-assessment criteria, but it is this rigour that provides true value to our Members, both in terms of the quality and competitiveness of the Mutual and the opportunity to become a part of the AIM community. We work hand in hand with some of the country’s leading industry bodies such as IOL and AHOEC to promote best practice in the sector, and strive to be the leading information resource on risk management and enhanced professional practice in the industry.
