Major support from Norway

On April 8, 2016 the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment and Hestian entered into a 5-year purchase agreement for up to 1.54 million certified emission reductions (CERs) from Hestian’s improved cookstove POA based in Malawi.

Looks like by the end of 2015
through our co-implementers in Malawi
1,034 institutional stoves were commissioned for
360 institutions (e.g. school, training colleges etc.) in Malawi
that cook over 58 million adult equivalent meals annually and
save almost 29,807 tonnes of CO2e per year!
