Financial planners and traders brought together over a breakfast table in Brasília.

On 22 July, EXANTE joined Rio Claro Investimentos for an exclusive breakfast focused on global investing and international market opportunities.

Bruna Rodrigues, Senior Relationship Manager at EXANTE, presented “Acesso ao mercado global de investimentos” and led discussions on international allocation and global markets for Brazilian investors.

"A developer once spent a week writing a single line of code. That line went on to earn the company a million dollars," says Anton Omelianenko, Head of Software Development at EXANTE.

Most engineering teams still measure output the same way, via lines of code, commits or story points. But all three count volume rather than value.

Anton's team built DevMind, an internal AI tool that scores commits, tasks and stand-up participation using data from GitLab and Jira.

It gets commit complexity right around 80% of the time. The rest is why the tech lead still sits in on every stand-up, talking to the team directly and having the final say on any score the AI gets wrong.

Anton's rule of thumb is to judge performance over months and not from one sprint. After all, one quieter sprint doesn't always mean someone's slacking.

Leis, limbo and the EXANTE Cyprus team somewhere off the coast of Cyprus.

Our Cyprus office, one of EXANTE's largest, left the trading screens behind for a Hawaiian-themed boat party this summer on 17 July.

Live music, an open bar, a pineapple cocktail masterclass and a limbo competition nobody expected to take that seriously.

Good excuse to get the Cyprus office in one place, even if half the conversations were about limbo technique, not markets.

Not a bad way to end the trading week.
