AI can help founders build faster, test ideas, improve operations, understand customers, and create new forms of value. But practical adoption requires more than access to tools.

At the 60th Women in Payments UK & EU Symposium in London, Tram Anh Nguyen, Chairwoman of Global Women in AI, Co-founder of CFTE - Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship delivered the closing keynote on women’s leadership, reinvention, and the AI era.

Her message was profound: the professionals who will lead through this moment are not necessarily those who know the most about AI today, but those who have built the capacity to reinvent themselves continuously.

As AI moves from predictive systems to cognitive assistance, and increasingly towards cognitive autonomy and ex*****on, leadership must evolve too.

In a world, where AI products are built, investment decisions are made, governance models are written, and standards are defined, women are still not leading in those areas - a few only.

This is why Global Women in AI exists: to build the infrastructure for women to shape AI development, not simply adopt it.

Through initiatives such as "Supercharged 10,000 Women in AI", Global Women in AI is working to equip women with the mindset, skills, confidence, networks, and practical AI fluency to lead in this new era.

The reinvention pipeline for women in AI is not empty. It is blocked. And together, we are working to unblock it.

As part of hashtag Fintech Week, we had a session through a dedicated showcase on Wednesday, April 22.

The theme of our event: Building AI-Ready Financial Systems: How Singapore is Preparing for the AI Era, a private UK–Singapore exchange hosted by CFTE - Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship in London, with participation from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and UK Financial Conduct Authority.

What does real AI implementation in financial services actually look like?
Beyond strategy and frameworks, the next phase is about solutions: How AI is being applied today to solve concrete challenges across institutions.
This is where hashtag ’s ecosystem continues to stand out.

A growing number of AI-native and AI-enabled companies are working closely with financial institutions to translate ambition into deployable tools, from compliance and risk to customer experience and operational efficiency.
We showcased these companies:
- Raymond M., CEO, iCOMPASS
- Jefferson Sun, APAC CEO, xBanker.ai
- Michael Davies, Founder, Nextvestment
- Agnès Bastaert, Head of Global Affairs and Strategic Development (Europe), Ant International

What made the evening especially valuable was the quality of exchange real dialogue connecting policy, industry, and innovation across borders.

Thank you to all speakers and participants from Singapore and the UK and for all of you for being with us
