The Affordable Art Auction was born after hearing Rachel Harry's story. Rachel suffered a heart attack and hypoxic brain injury while giving birth. This has sadly left her brain damaged, unable to walk, talk and eat without help, despite the odds set against her Rachel continues to defy them and is making great progress, but she is still on a long road to recovery. The Rachel Harry Fund was set up

to pay for the essential (and expensive) treatment Rachel needs. After hearing her story we felt compelled to combine our passion for art with a good old knees up to help, as did some of the UK's most talented emerging and established artists. Thank you to everyone who came along on Saturday to our first Affordable Art Auction and to the artists and companies who gave up their work/products so generously. It was such a fun evening and everyone there certainly looked like they were enjoying themselves. Especially those who won the battle for the artwork. Together we have raised £3,050 so far which, will secure 40 treatments for Rachel. We cannot thank you all enough. Anyone who has been touched by Rachel's story but couldn't make it on Saturday our fundraising isn't over. Wayne Lloyd will be putting his legs to the test, running the New York marathon on Sunday for Rachel, so if you would like to sponsor him you can still make a pledge here http://bit.ly/PledgeToRachel. We're over half way to our target. Let's smash it for Rachel and do her proud.

We're raising money to pay for six months of rehabilitation treatment because Rachel Harry deserves to be the mum she dreamed she would.
