Someone posed an interesting question to me the other day.
Why do I need to go to a Mortgage Adviser, I can just go directly to say HSBC if I am looking for a mortgage.
This made me think that a lot of people must have this perception, and perhaps I should explain why it makes sense in many instances to use the service of a mortgage adviser.
One key reason is that independent advisers like me will have access to the ‘whole of the market’ and this means that I can help you find the most affordable and suitable mortgage for you.
Most of us these days for whatever reasons seem to have less time, and to spend it searching and reviewing several different lenders can be time consuming and doesn’t necessarily find you the right deal or product that may meet your needs.
What if your circumstances or your current property ownership situation is somewhat different. For example, if you have a CCJ that is under 6 years old, there are lenders who will consider lending and an adviser can help find them for you. Another example, a couple wants to move in together, and perhaps one or both partners have their own properties, they could consider a Let to Buy, where both move into a new property and rent one or both existing ones out; an adviser can help to make the borrowing process easier.
Certain mortgages will have specific conditions, which must be met for the borrower to qualify, an adviser can save you time in finding only products that you have a good chance in getting an offer on.
These are only some examples but there are many scenarios in which an adviser can help you with some of the heavy lifting.
So why not contact me at M&M advisers and let me help you out, fee free.
