Some say success is being rich; others say success is having a good job, wife and kids. I believe we all have our own meaning of success. So who decides when we are successful and what do we gain from it? "success is within us, our inner happiness"
The minute we start looking around for recognition of our success the minute we loose all hope of gaining it. Everyday we wake up with our whole day a
head us, some plan their day, some do whatever comes to mind whilst others do nothing at all. As much as religion preaches not to judge, we still do. And what does it have to do with success? We are all coming from somewhere but it’s our actions that define us. No matter how much you chosse to ignore, we all play a very important role to society. It's not just the politicians and there descisions that contribute to shaping society but our own individual actions. Some believe their more successful than others, because they have a lot more to show for in terms of materialist items, and for these reasons that makes them more important. When we as people start to believe this we lose the real meaning of life. We start to form a society where people are valued based on what they have, for example how much is in one's bank account. This limits how much people believe in success. What if some people just don't want a lot in life and they are very happy with what they’ve got. "This is where greed is questionable, is it greedy to want more and if so what determines when you have enough? or is there no such thing as too much". Shouldn’t these people be valued the same as someone who has everything? Aren’t they as successful and important as anyone else? Unfortunately we live in a world of class, you have lower class, middle class and upper class. Our lives are built on these three sectors, and without choice children are born into one of these classes every day. This automatically has a major influence on their prospective of life. A lower class person is programmed to believe most good things in life will never come their way. Sadly, the programming starts from home, "No u can’t have that", "Stop dreaming", "it’s impossible". As simple as these words may sound they can be damaging. So how far can one go, how much can they achieve, is all effected by what they have been programed to believe. The middle class have a similar background, the difference is they are under far more pressure because they have something to lose. Systematically this creates the illusion that they have more to prove. On the other hand, the rich are more in control over their life’s, so they are under no pressure, identified as the bosses! . They have a different thought process, they believe anythings possible. Reach for the stars, you can only go higher and the higher you go, the better the view will get. This is why they do not settle for nothing but the best. This is a problem society has been facing for years, the rich are getting richer! The poor feel the pain! Living to maintain! With no one to blame. Maybe we need to start blaming ourselves. They say life is what you make it, we need to start taking responsibility for our own actions, no one can help you better than you can help yourself. Trusting yourself is worth more than a million promises. First of all you have to ask yourself, what are u living for? What drives you everyday? Is it something you love? Or is it because you have to in order to survive. Some people are quite happy, to wake up under pressure everyday, it is were they perform their best and feel comfortable. Some like to take orders because it's less work and they don’t have to think for themself. The result of this is that, they are controlled by others, who they rely on to survive. Automatically they believe in others far more than themself. After a while of this thought process they start to go low in self-esteem and become complacent towards self development.
