5 hours into 2026… and our CCTV deterred its first attempted break-in. 👀✅

At 04:48 this morning, two males attempted to force access through the vehicle gates of a multi-tenanted block of prestigious apartments, approaching via the car park 😈

Despite an audible siren and flashing blue deterrent lights 🚨, they continued their attempt, until our Remote Video Receiving Centre (RVRC) team issued an immediate tannoy audio challenge 📢

That intervention worked instantly: both individuals left the area straight away.

This system was only installed just before Christmas (on our recommendation, following a site survey) and it’s already proving why investing in the right technology (and the right remote monitored response) matters ✅📧

Today we saw how, “The IVP Group ‘Garden of England Carbon off-set Project’ was progressing 👩‍🌾🪏

Our fruit tree project (started in the Spring of 2025) involves a minimum of 2-year-old trees, so will start producing fruit within around two years 🤞However, the trees will begin sequestering carbon immediately ✅

As you can see from the photographs fruit is already appearing on the trees however as the trees are only young (2/3 year olds), they should start producing edible fruit within 2 or 3 years 🍎🍒🍏

Looking specifically at our project, we know from research bodies that a single tree will absorb approximately 25kg of carbon dioxide per year. We have started by planting 28 fruit trees(a variety of various apples, cherries, plums and cooking apples trees), which will absorb about 700 kg per year, and our planting will continue over the coming years. However, there are greater contributions to planting fruit trees than just the carbon off-setting:

✅ 90% of fresh fruit and vegetables are imported. By planting an orchard no matter how large or small we will make a real difference
✅ By planting fruit trees, we allow others to enjoy fresh fruit ‘in-season’, straight from our trees
✅ Our project works indirectly in partnership with the Sustainable Food Trust and the Harmony Project and is intended to form part of a wider education package, with all of the fruit produced being donated locally to good causes and/or schools.

There is also a very real humanitarian advantage, an improvement to mental well-being which is widely documented. Being able to enjoy not only the changing seasons around the orchard, but also to attract wildlife, from the humble ladybird 🐞to the endangered butterfly 🦋 and bee 🐝
