Iftiin Education & Development Association is a UK based organisation that aims to alleviate the symptoms of poverty through the power of education. Iftiin focuses on education as it believes that education is one of the first steps in a person’s awareness of his/her world. Iftiin was founded in 2007 by a group of Somali British volunteers with the vision to give children in developing countries t

he same education conditions as the children in industrialised countries. In other words, Iftiin wants to grow the seed to create the tree sheltering the next generation of Somali children. It aims to enable Somali children to go to schools, particularly the ones who do not have financial means to access education. This will allow them to develop knowledge and practical skills to reach their full potential which will create a wider range of choices for their future.

Our vision is to provide a learning environment that is stimulating and challenging for children who do not have the financial means to access education. Enabling them to develop knowledge and practical skills to reach their full potential which will create a wider range of choices for their future.

As a charity every penny donated goes towards the schools, assisting the children and teachers who we now pay a small salary.
