Feeling grateful to have been selected to take part in the Found sculpture project, supported by Islington Arts Council and Art House. Over several weeks, a diverse group of women came together to transform discarded and overlooked objects into artworks, preserving them in resin and giving new meaning to things that might otherwise have been thrown away.
What started as a collection of scraps and found materials became a memorable exhibition and a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and community. It was a privilege to share the experience with such talented and inspiring women from different backgrounds, all bringing something unique to the project.
Thank you to everyone involved for making it such a rewarding journey. Seeing our work come together and exhibited to the public was a proud moment, and I’m looking forward to being involved in more creative projects like this in the future.
