Happy Birthday to Hybrid Financial! Today we are 7 years old!

That means 7 years ago today, I decided to take the plunge and start my own business. It’s been a rollercoaster of a journey so far, with some great successes as well as some hard lessons along the way.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with us, Hybrid Financial is a “whole of market” directly authorised mortgage and commercial finance brokerage based in London but with advisors across the country.

Speaking of 7, that’s the exact number of cases I completed in our first 2 years of trading! Starting a business with no prior experience as a broker was tough and everything was self-taught. I had no network or little black book of clients. I was out networking constantly to try and get business. It was even harder being a directly authorised firm and having to deal with compliance, general business operations and sales.

Most would have thrown in the towel after those first two years, but I persevered. So glad I did because fast forward to the present day and we have grown from a “one-man band” to a diverse team of 22 (and growing!) We've completed on hundreds of millions of pounds in lending and continue to grow exponentially.

I’m very much looking forward to the growth of Hybrid Financial over the next 7 years and what the future has in store for us!
