This project improves the energy efficiency of the Nimr produced water disposal system in Oman through an ecological wetland treatment solution.

Before implementation, produced water was injected into deep wells using energy-intensive pumps powered by fossil fuel-based grid electricity.

The wetland solution treats up to 80,000 m³ of produced water per day while dramatically reducing electricity use compared to the previous disposal system.

We are excited to announce our partnership with Remote Roots as a host company in their Summer 2026 remote internship pilot, implemented together with Caritas Switzerland.

Remote Roots is a Swiss association built on a straightforward idea: two challenges can be part of each other's solution. In Lebanon, talented university students face some of the highest barriers to international work experience: economic collapse, a contracting private sector, and limited pathways abroad. In Switzerland, organisations are open to working with global talent but often lack structured ways to do so. Remote Roots bridges that gap.

Through their pilot program in collaboration with Caritas Switzerland, students in Lebanon are matched with Swiss partner organisations for paid, project-based remote internships. The result is a model that is genuinely low-barrier for companies and genuinely high-impact for the interns.

We are proud to be one of the partner organisations in this pilot alongside Caritas Switzerland, Skat Consulting Ltd, Circle of Young Humanitarians, MobileUp, and Geo Expertise. Ralph will be joining the Azzera team as our intern, and we are looking forward to everything we will build together.

We're now a part of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) SAF Registry, and this changes the game for how airlines and fuel producers account for sustainable aviation fuel.

For years, one of the biggest friction points in SAF adoption has been the ability to prove it. Who produced the fuel? Where? Under what certification? How does that claim transfer across the supply chain? The IATA SAF Registry, maintained and operated through the Civil Aviation Decarbonization Organization (CADO), answers all of that.

Here is what it actually does:

The registry tracks SAF production and delivery using a book-and-claim system. This means SAF attributes - feedstock origin, emissions savings, and certification data - can be transferred between parties even when the physical fuel is commingled with conventional jet fuel. That is how you make SAF commercially scalable.

Producers register their SAF and receive credits. Airlines purchase those credits to substantiate their sustainability claims. The whole chain is auditable, standardized, and aligned with global aviation decarbonization targets.
