How much did your last no-show cost you?

Most salon owners can answer that instantly. Far fewer can tell you what they're paying to take a card payment.

The legacy providers sit between 1.69% and 1.75%. On £8,000 a month in takings, 1.75% works out at £1,680 a year.

Lopay's next-day rate is 0.99%. Same takings, £950.40. That's £729 a year saved, or £922 on weekly payouts at 0.79%.

And the no-shows? Send payment links via WhatsApp, SMS or Instagram DM the moment someone books. Client taps, pays with Apple Pay or their card, deposit taken before the appointment exists.

Booth renters take payments on their own phones. Separate reporting per stylist, no access to salon payouts.

Nobody starts a business because they're passionate about card processing.

You just need it to work. Take the payment. Get the money. Move on with your day.

Somewhere along the way it got complicated. Statements with 14 line items. Contracts with exit fees. Apps that don't talk to each other. Monthly minimums on quiet months. Fees on top of fees.

Lopay strips it back.

One app. Money in your account. That's it.

Payments, simplified.

Is this the right supplier? What am I missing? What's the catch?

Every small business owner knows that voice. It never really goes quiet.

Will heard it too when he was looking for a payment provider. Then found Lopay.

"Cheaper fees, simple setup, no brainer."

That was his whole review. Four words. Because sometimes that's all there is to say.

0.79% per transaction. No contract. No hidden fees. Minutes to set up.

Find out for yourself.

Your queue isn't slow because your staff are slow.

It's slow because they're juggling two or more apps to take one payment.

Tot up the transaction in the EPOS. Open the card reader to punch in the total and take payment. Repeat 200 times a day.

That's a hidden time-tax on every transaction - and customers feel every second of it.

Integrated EPOS and payment kills the friction. Products and payments in one flow. Take the checkout to the customer instead of making them queue for the till.
One device. One tap. Done.

No setup fees. No monthly POS subscription. Use our smart payment terminals or the phone already in your pocket.

The contract was supposed to protect you. Instead it locked you in for three years, while the fees on your statement quietly multiplied 👀

Most payment providers make their money by tying you down. Hidden charges. Expensive hardware you can't walk away from. Monthly minimums that punish you for having a quiet season.

We do it differently ✌️

❌ No contracts
❌ No ghost fees
❌ No paywalls on the tools you need to actually run the shop
✅ Hardware that scales with your business, not the other way round
✅ Payouts on your schedule, weekly, next-day or instant

The kind of payment setup independents pick when they've decided to do it properly.

Take control of your payments. Start saving with Lopay today.

Flat-rate pricing sounds fair. One number, no small print.

What it means in practice is that nothing you do changes what you pay. Quiet month, busy month, same percentage. Wait a week for your money or take it next day, same percentage.

Zettle charges 1.75% on in-person payments. On £15,000 a month in card sales, that's £262.50 in fees.

Lopay's next-day tier is 0.99%. Same sales, £148.50 in fees.

That's £1,368 a year saved. Move to weekly payouts at 0.79% and you save £1,728.

Think you’re comparing payment providers by percentage?

You might actually be comparing the wrong thing.

When you’re sending payment links or taking deposits, a fixed fee on every transaction can make a big difference.

Here’s one example:

• £15 payment with Square: 46p
• £15 payment with Lopay: 22p

At first glance, Square’s 1.4% looks cheaper than Lopay’s 1.48%.

But once the 25p fixed fee is added, the actual cost is more than double.

The difference gets smaller on larger payments, but if you regularly take deposits, call-out fees or smaller invoices, those extra pennies soon add up.

Before choosing a payment provider, look at what you’ll actually pay, not just the headline rate.
