Picked up chess a few months ago and it’s become one of my favourite forms of self‑development. I started learning on Duolingo (yes, Duolingo teaches chess — I was shocked too).

Growing up, I’d watch people play and never understood it. All the pieces moved differently, the board looked chaotic, and I stuck to drafts because it was simple 😂

But this year I decided to challenge myself. Chess forces you to think ahead, plan your moves, stay calm under pressure, and accept that one mistake can change everything. It’s basically a mindset workout.

Still learning, still improving — but loving the process.
