At a time when the number of homeless people in Liverpool is surging, one of our Directors, James Jaycock, will be taking part in Nugent's Sleep Out to help raise awareness of the issue, and to raise funds for those most in need. If you'd like to take part, email: [email protected]

Taking place at the iconic Merseyside Maritime Museum, you will be sleeping out on the Albert Dock colonnades , experiencing just a fraction of the challenges faced by those suffering from homelessness as you give up your bed for the night.

Liverpool is in the midst of a homelessness and housing crisis. Rough sleeper numbers have surged in the last year, leaving hundreds on the brink of homelessness. Many are stuck in temporary accommodation, with limited housing options available.

We're on a mission to support those who need our help. By participating in Sleep Out with Nugent, you can make a direct impact. Join us in raising funds to help tackle this crisis head-on.

Shout out to one of our members of staff, Neil Freeman, who in his words “was just doing his job,” but we think he’s great. Following a diagnosis which prevented a client being able to drive on their motor policy, Neil gave some excellent assistance and once they were fit and well, even managed to negotiate a large premium saving. The client was so grateful that they sent him a gorgeous basket of fruit from Adams Apple. Well done, Neil!

After a busy year, we enjoyed an evening of festive fun, starting with a quiz in the office, followed by our work Christmas night out in Liverpool. We'd like to say a big thank you to the team at Frederiks and Modo, Liverpool for excellent service during such a busy period for hospitality! 🎄

This year, instead of sending Christmas cards and holding our annual Secret Santa, we've been collecting items for Nugent's Reverse Advent Calendar, which we delivered to the team at this brilliant local charity yesterday. We're very grateful to them for working so hard to bring festive cheer to those in need during the cost of living crisis 🎁

Instead of buying Secret Santa gifts, the team will be supporting Nugent's Reverse Advent Calendar and helping to make hampers for the charity's Christmas appeal (see below for details of how to get involved) 🎁

We are so excited to announce Nugent’s 2023 Christmas appeal - join us for 12 days of donations through our Reverse Advent Calendar! 🎄🎁

Running from the 1st to 12th December, we are asking businesses, schools and parishes to get involved.

We are all familiar with our favourite chocolate advent calendars, but this year instead of opening a window and receiving a gift, we are asking for you to give one. 💚

Behind each advent calendar door, we'll share items and statistics showcasing the items in demand in our community. These include:

🎁 Food donations for our pantry.
🎁 Hats, gloves and scarves for helping tackle homelessness with our New Beginnings outreach project.
🎁 Period product donations to help us tackle all forms of poverty via ‘Our Future Now’.
