Moustache Cup wants to stop the ever-growing mounds of non-biodegradable trash on our earth, and acres of garbage in our seas. Moustache Cup only has to take a quick look at the beautiful English countryside to realise it'

s worth saving. That's why all Moustache Cup packaging components are always recyclable, re-usable or biodegradable. We are constantly looking for additional processes, suppliers and materials to help reduce our environmental impact. Moustache Cup is based in Lancashire, including the staff. Our potter is from Carnforth, our company director is from Morecambe and various local companies for printing and packaging are based in Manchester/Lancaster and Blackpool. We design, make, deliver and even bank in Lancashire. We do not have any overseas offices, or use any overseas services.

For the couple who has believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast, the Carrolls have a coating of thin white slip with a slip trailed finish. A clear glaze provides the sheen with a copper oxide green glaze highlighting the maddening relief.

Cup of the Week: Banquet

Banquet was decorated with sprigs and dipped in white slip. A Manganese Dioxide slip was then poured over the upside down pot to add a subtle colour to the layer below. A clear shiny glaze completes the look.

Onde was submerged in green slip and allowed to dry several minutes; a tootbrush was then wiped across its surface, creating a dynamic patterned effect. A pale honey glaze seals the deal.

Chevron's body was incised with a knife to create a pattern before being slipped. The lines created via this technique allowed the green glaze to nestle within the recesses and highlight the design. A pale honey glaze creates the overall warm hue.

Telephone was dipped in white slip and allowed to dry. An image of a telephone box was then added via the sgraffito technique. A clear glaze provides the clarity for the green glaze to come to the fore.
